DIRECTIONS TO THE CLASS SITE
Driving
From the South (Tacoma, Olympia, Portland):
Travel on I-5 to Exit 132. Take Exit 132/Bremerton to WA-16 West. Follow WA-16 until it merges with WA-3 at Gorst. Stay to the right, following the signs for WA-3 North. Take the exit toward Poulsbo/Bainbridge Island. Turn right onto WA-305 S. Drive 0.5 mile and turn left on WA-307 N/Bond Rd NE. Drive 2.4 miles and turn right on NE Gunderson Rd. Drive 2.3 miles and turn left onto Miller Bay Rd NE. Drive 0.3 mile and turn right on Indianola Road NE. In 3.2 miles, turn left onto NE Shore Drive. Drive 1.3 miles to the very end of the road, following signs for Camp Indianola. When you get to the parking area, the Evergreen Commons will be the building right in front of you - walk down the stairs and enter the main dining hall.
From the Ferry (Kingston):
From the Kingston ferry debarkation area, follow traffic onto NE 1st Street. In 1/3 mile, turn left onto NE West Kingston Road. In 0.6 mile, turn left onto S. Kingston Road NE. Drive. In 4 miles, turn left onto Indianola Road NE. In 0.5 mile, turn left on NE Shore Drive. Drive 1.3 miles to the very end of the road, following signs for Camp Indianola. When you get to the parking area, the Evergreen Commons will be the building right in front of you - walk down the stairs and enter the main dining hall.
Parking
When you get to the end of the road at Camp Indianola, there is plenty of parking on site. If you are sleeping in your vehicle, please choose a spot more hidden and out of the way.
Public Transportation
The class is scheduled so that it coordinates with the ferry schedule from Edmonds. The ferry leaves Edmonds at 7:00 AM and at 7:55 AM and arrives at Kingston 30 minutes later, giving you 90 or 35 minutes to travel 7 miles to the classroom. At the end of the day, class will end at 6:00 PM leaving plenty of time to catch the 7:00 PM ferry from Kingston to Edmonds.
Edmonds-Kingston Ferry:
The 30-minute ferry ride from Edmonds to Kingston is a tourist attraction in its own right. Car fare is $16.00 one way. Foot passengers pay $9.00 from Edmonds to Kingston and pay $0.00 (free) from Kingston to Edmonds. Bicycles incur a $1.00 surcharge and must be ridden onto the car deck. Take the Edmonds Ferry, then bike:
The bike ride from the Kingston ferry terminal to Camp Indianola is about 6.5 miles. Follow the driving directions above.
Kayak/SUP
If you paddle over, please be sure to land on Camp Indianola property and not Suquamish Tribal lands.
You are welcome to bring a kayak, canoe, SUP, kiteboard or other human-powered craft and launch from the camp property into Port Madison Bay in non-class hours during the weekend.

Coffee and tea will be provided free throughout the course. Lunch is not provided on this course. There is only one general store in Indianola and they do make good sandwiches and fresh baked goods. The next closest stores are in Kingston and Poulsbo, so it may make sense to pack your own lunch.
